Placement.  A Vital Benefit.

The most vital Benefit to members post-certification is the Job Placement element the American Pharmaceutical Sales Association provides. The APSA has a dues-free membership policy and members remain active in the PharmaLink© recruiting system until a job is earned.

From Day 1, the American Pharmaceutical Sales Association has instituted a non-profit recruiting and placement policy that enables Pharmaceutical companies to hire all certified members at no cost. This eliminates the need for third-party recruiters and headhunters while simultaneously validating certified members as candidates since they have completed a fully accredited Pharmaceutical Sales certification program.

This shows why APSA certificaiton is vital. Not only is there the "learning" and "validation" element that the curriculum and program provides, but membership does not end until you get placed. Once placed, you have the option of remaining active or going on Alumni status.

• Our final 2007 statistics show the importance of APSA Certification:
• 44% of all APSA certified members were hired.  According to IMSA statistics, the national hire rate without certification was 3%.  98% of hired APSA certified members had NO prior Pharmaceutical Sales experience

Lastly, our Job Placement element is sector-specific through PharmaLink©. This enables our members to get maximized customer service value through our divisional arms. We have Nurse-focused, Teaching/Educational-focused, Sales-focused and New College Grad-focused arms to better serve our members that are transitioning into the Pharmaceutical field.
